•(갈. Gal. 5:22-23)
(22) 오직 성령의 열매는 사랑과 희락과 화평과 오래 참음과 자비와 양선과 충성과 (23) 온유와 절제니 이같은 것을 금지할 법이 없느니라
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, / gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
•(고전. 1Cor.13:13) ' 그런즉 믿음, 소망, 사랑, 이 세 가지는 항상 있을 것인데 그 중에 제일은 사랑이라' And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
•(눅. Luke 9:49-56)
49.요한이 여짜오되 주여 어떤 사람이 주의 이름으로 귀신을 내쫓는 것을 우리가 보고 우리와 함께 따르지 아니하므로 금하였나이다/ 50.예수께서 이르시되 금하지 말라 너희를 반대하지 않는 자는 너희를 위하는 자니라 하시니라/ 51.예수께서 승천하실 기약이 차가매 예루살렘을 향하여 올라가기로 굳게 결심하시고/ 52.사자들을 앞서 보내시매 그들이 가서 예수를 위하여 준비하려고 사마리아인의 한 마을에 들어갔더니/ 53.예수께서 예루살렘을 향하여 가시기 때문에 그들이 받아들이지 아니 하는지라/ 54.제자 야고보와 요한이 이를 보고 이르되 주여 우리가 불을 명하여 하늘로부터 내려 저들을 멸하라 하기를 원하시나이까/ 55.예수께서 돌아보시며 꾸짖으시고/ 56.함께 다른 마을로 가시니라.
49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.
